Piercing for Little Ones
We offer ear piercing for children from three months old, by appointment only, using solid gold jewellery for their comfort and safety.
Aftercare
Whether it's your first piercing or your fifth, proper aftercare is key. We offer two aftercare solutions to suit your healing needs: Standard Aftercare and Advanced Studex Aftercare. Follow our recommendations to keep your new piercing clean and safe.
Wash hands thoroughly before touching the jewellery or ear.
Cleanse the front and back of the ear 2 to 3 times a day with your chosen Studex Aftercare solution.
While cleaning, rotate the jewellery 2 to 3 times, 180° left and 180° right (half a turn only), to avoid hair wrapping around the post at the back of the ear.
Keep the ear dry between cleanings. Handle the jewellery carefully, this matters for safe healing.
Keep hairspray, soap, shampoo and other products away from the ear. After shampooing, rinse with clear water, then cleanse with your Studex Aftercare product.
Do not remove earrings or handle them unnecessarily.
Do not push the butterfly along the post towards the ear. It must always stay at the tip of the post, exactly where it was positioned straight after piercing. Check the position each time you clean, it should feel smooth.
This keeps the earring loose during healing, reducing the risk of swelling or discomfort and allowing air to circulate.
Using Advanced Studex Aftercare, studs can typically be changed after 4 weeks for lobe piercings, 6 weeks for nose piercings, and 8 weeks for helix piercings.

Who will do my piercing?
Our fully trained staff will carry out your piercing. All equipment and jewellery are pre-sterilised for a safe, hygienic piercing.
Who can get a JQV Gems piercing?
Anyone can be pierced, as long as their anatomy allows it. We won't go ahead if we feel your anatomy isn't suited to healing safely. We pierce children from three months old, by appointment only, using solid gold jewellery. Customers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with valid ID.
How much does a piercing cost?
Prices start from £35, up to £350 for our Diamond Edit in solid gold. See our jewellery range above for full pricing by style.
Do I need to book?

How long does healing take?
Using our Advanced Studex Aftercare spray, studs can typically be changed after 4 weeks for lobe piercings, 6 weeks for nose piercings, and 8 weeks for helix piercings.
What do I need to do to look after my nose piercing?
Wash hands thoroughly before touching the jewellery or nose. Apply Studex After Piercing Lotion to the nose up to 3 times per day, outside only, with a cotton wool pad or non-fibrous pad. While cleaning, rotate the nose stud 2 to 3 times, 180° left and 180° right (half a turn only). Keep cosmetics, make-up and other products away from the nose, and take care while sleeping and when removing clothes over your head. After showering or swimming, bathe the nose immediately. The nose stud should not be removed or handled unnecessarily.
